Titans QB Jake Locker could be out multiple games

Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker separated his left shoulder on Sunday and the injury is believed to be more serious than his first dislocation in Week 1. Locker was sacked by Houston Texans safety Glover Quin when the injury occurred. Head coach Mike Munchak said, "It is sore, we just don't know to what level. We need to decide what happened. And then we'll make a decision on what's best for the player. We'll evaluate that when we get more information tomorrow."

Fantasy Analysis:

Even though the injury was to his non-throwing shoulder, the early reports suggest he'll miss at least one game. Fantasy owners need to be prepared to be without him in Week 5. QB Matt Hasselbeck @Hasselbeck will play in his absence. The 14-year veteran has to be considered one of the best backups a team could want. A problem that may arise is this team really needs to get their running game going. Hasselbeck isn't quite as fleet-footed as Locker, needless to say, so having him stand tall in the pocket in a lot of 2nd/3rd and long situations would allow the defense's pass rush to "pin their ears back" as John Madden liked to say.

I'd drop him and head for Kevin Kolb if any leagues still have him.
