Raiders optimistic WR Darrius Heyward-Bey returns after bye

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey @theDHB85 went down hard with a concussion in Week 3 due to an illegal hit yet head coach Dennis Allen is "hopeful" he will return in Week 6 after Oakland's Week 5 bye. DHB was injured early in the fourth quarter of Oakland's 34-31 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The hit drew a ton of media attention, and rightly so. Another report by USA Today stated the fourth-year vet couldn't remember being hit.

Fantasy Analysis:

Heyward-Bey has yet to really establish himself as a dependable fantasy weapon but the Raiders have really opened up their passing game this season. Considered a sleeper in most fantasy drafts, DHB has been dropped and is now available in nearly a third of ESPN leagues. Keeping DHB on your bench if you have the roster space is a viable option. Oakland is attempting 40.5 passes per game, tied for fifth in the NFL and with all those targets available, DHB is certaily under the radar after this injury.
