Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings
has suffered two setbacks with his injured groin so far. As reported by the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Jennings said, "[Re-injury is] always in the back the mind. I would definitely err to the side of caution when it comes to something like this simply because if it's going to continue to be an issue, I'd rather take the time that I need to eliminate it altogether versus going out there and having it reoccur time after time and continue to have setbacks. It's frustrating, but it's something that comes with the territory when you're playing this game."
Fantasy Analysis:
What's interesting about this quote is that you often hear athletes speaking very adamantly about getting back on the field. While Jenning may have previously felt that way, he seems to have accepted the fact that this injury is more serious than he may have initially believed. As long as he is sidelined, there's no doubt that you have to give a fantasy bump to WRs Jordy Nelson
, James Jones, and Randall Cobb
as well as TE Jermichael Finley
. For those playing in dynasty leagues, you may want to get the jump early on rookie WR Jarrett Boykin
. If Jennings leaves via free agency and Donald Driver
retires, Boykin suddenly finds himself as the team's No. 4 WR.
