The Kansas City Chiefs will be without the services of tight end Kevin Boss
because of a concussion. Boss sustained the injury in Week 2 and hasn't played since. This obviously isn't his first head trauma which has forced the team to put him on the shelf. This puts more pressure on Tony Moeaki
to step up as the No. 1 TE and creates a position battle between TEs Steve Maneri and Jake O'Connell. Given the Chiefs propensity to run the ball, the superior blocker will likely take over.
Fantasy Analysis:
Moeaki has some small upside as a pass-catcher but hasn't quite produced as such. Boss had three receptions for 65 yards and a score in his game and a half played. Meanwhile, Moeaki only has nine receptions for 76 yards. Needless to say, there are a few dozen tight ends you'd probably rather have since most Matt Cassel passes are headed to WRs Dwayne Bowe
and Dexter McCluster
.
