Giants WR Hakeem Nicks out for another week

Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will miss his third consecutive game. He has already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns. He hasn't been able to practice this week, and team doctors have told head coach Tom Coughlin that Nicks just needs to rest his ankle and knee injuries.

Fantasy Analysis:

The news gets worse for the Giants' receiving corps as Ramses Barden @RamsesNYG has been held out of practice this week after being diagnosed with a concussion on Tuesday. He's not expected to be cleared by doctors prior to Sunday's game. Joe Haden is serving the fourth week of his four-game suspension, so it's obviously a plus matchup for the likes of Victor Cruz @TeamVic, a must must-start. But Domenik Hixon @domenik_hixon is intriguing for another week. Last week versus the Eagles, a game in which Barden was active, Hixon caught six passes for 114 yards, and they weren't all easy catches. Put him in that viable WR3 range for Week 5.

Hixon... Manning over Smith anytime. Any starting WR on NYG will get targets and Cruz will draw the attention.

Hixon or Andrew Hawkins?

I would take Hixon in both cases. More upside than Crabtree, who is only a PPR option at this point, and he'll get more targets than Hawkins.
