Running backs going up against the 49ers defense don't usually come away with boffo fantasy numbers. But at least the Bills will have both of their horses ready to run when they travel to San Fran for Sunday's game. Despite playing through pain last week against the Patriots, both C.J. Spiller
and Fred Jackson
aren't on the team's final Week 5 injury report.
Fantasy Analysis:
So, Spiller and Jackson are healthy. Now, what are you going to do? Jackson got more touches against the Patriots, 16-10, but Spiller was obviously limited by his shoulder injury; he even came off the field favoring his shoulder a couple of times. With both players going through full practices, I think I would consider Spiller to be the better fantasy play. He's just so explosive, and it's hard to forget what he did earlier this year when Jackson was out with a sprained knee. Because it's the Niners and because they split carries, both runners are just flex options for me. But Spiller would be the guy I'd start if I had to choose one.
