Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery
will need an X-ray of his right hand. The rookie left early in the fourth quarter and had his swollen hand in a wrap after the game. He stated, "I could have kept playing. I'm confident it's not serious." Jeffery finished Week 5 with two receptions for 20 yards and a touchdown. His playing status is still unknown and we'll know more details after his X-ray results come in.
Fantasy Analysis:
Even though he is not producing quite like a fantasy player, Jeffery is having a solid year for a very successful Bears team. Chicago are early frontrunners to make the playoffs and as previous years have shown, this team needs all the help it can get out of the wide receiver position. After he and Brandon Marshall
, the depth doesn't go much further and it'd be really amazing to add Johnny Knox
to this group next season.
