The Cincinnati Bengals announced via Twitter that running back Bernard Scott has been placed on the season ending injured reserve list. Scott hadt only played in Weeks 3 and 5, most recently rushing for 40 yards on five carries this Sunday in a 17-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Scott tore his ACL and left the locker room on crutches after the game. RBs Brian Leonard
and Cedric Peerman will fight for the No. 2 role behind BenJavrus Green-Ellis.
Fantasy Analysis:
Scott has been a servicable backup in Cincinnati in each of his four years with the team. The overwhelming majority of carries have been given to BJGE so far this year. Between Peerman, Scott, and Leonard, the three have only carried the ball 19 times through five games. This offense moves the ball via the pass first and foremost. The Bengals are ranked 15th in the NFL in rushing yards per game and 10th in passing yards per game.
