The New York Daily News has reported that New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow
has prepared this week for a "larger role/more reps" against the Houston Texans. On Sunday, FOX's NFL insider Jay Glazer also reported similar news that Tebow would be used 'a lot more'. The Jets currently rank 25th in the NFL with 86.5 rushing yards per game. A team typically known for their physical ground attack has been rendered insufficient on offense due to their inability to consistently move the chains and set up the pass via the run.
Fantasy Analysis:
Football fans can blame a weak offensive line and flaccid Shonn Greene for Tebow's increased role. The Jets need to do something to keep defenses off-balance and using Tebow only makes sense here. The read option will create running lanes and any defensive over-commitment to run can easily be punished with a well-timed deep ball. Now that Santonio Holmes
is on injured reserve, it's time to really open things.
