Packers running running back Cedric Benson
has already been ruled out for this week's game versus the Texans. Benson suffered a left foot injury during the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Colts and was seen wearing a walking boot after the game. Not many specifics have been made public about the injury, but head coach Mike McCarthy will be looking toward other options in his backfield in Week 6.
Fantasy Analysis:
Benson said after the game that his X-rays came back clean, and he doesn't think he has a Lisfranc sprain. But the fact that he was ruled out six days ahead of kickoff probably means this isn't just a one-week thing for Benson. Alex Green
, James Starks
and John Kuhn are expected to split the carries in Benson's absence. I don't like any of them all that much against at the Texans this week, but Green is the most interesting back of the three and the first guy I'd pick up if I wanted a runner from Green Bay.
