Bears rookie wide receiver Alshon Jeffery
will miss at least a month after breaking his right hand during Sunday's blowout win over the Jaguars. The break was discovered on Monday, he was placed in a cast, and he is expected to be out for four-to-six weeks. One small piece of good news is that Jeffery's injury won't require surgery. The Bears are on bye in Week 6.
Fantasy Analysis:
So look for Jeffery to come back sometime around Week 9. He has surpassed 50 yards just once in five games, but he's probably been the second-best rookie wideout this season behind the Titans' Kendall Wright. And he has clearly been the second-best wideout on the Bears this season. Devin Hester
and Earl Bennett
will try to pick up the slack, but I wouldn't invest in them for fantasy. Luckily for Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall, the Bears have a trio of cake matchups when they come out of their bye -- Lions, Panthers and Titans.
