Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis
hasn't played since Week 3 due to a sprained ankle, and nothing has been said that would make you think he will play this Sunday against the Buccaneers. So it shouldn't be a surprise that head coach Romeo Crennel mentioned the words "high ankle" when asked about Hillis' status Monday.
"High ankles are always tough," Crennel said of Hillis. He's making progress. We're going to push him a little bit more this week and see how much he can do. Then, after we push him, we'll be able to tell if he can come back this week or not."
Fantasy Analysis:
With a high ankle sprain, you shouldn't expect Hillis to play until Week 8 at the earliest. Without Hillis, Crennel has leaned on Jamaal Charles
to carry the offense, and he has responded with some outstanding games. Shaun Draughn
hasn't been anything special in the backup role, but neither was Hillis when he was able. Hillis shouldn't be on many rosters right now.
