Indianapolis Colts running back Donald Brown will miss two to three weeks after having knee surgery to repair and remove torn cartilage. Brown was injured during the last play of the Colts' dramatic win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Rookie running back Vick Ballard will start in his place. In limited action, Ballard has rushed for 42 yards on 21 carries.
Fantasy Analysis:
Another running back goes down during a critical stretch of bye weeks. Ballard isn't a great option but he's worth an add if you're in need of running back depth. The Colts' running game is miserable but this is how new stars at the position emerge and put their talent on display. As long as Indy's defense is struggling, they're going to remain a pass-first offense that relies heavily on Andrew Luck to score points, not the running backs.
