Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel briefly made an appearance at the team facilities but did not stay long as team doctors have ordered him to rest. Cassel has not yet been cleared to practice. He was concussed by a big hit during the Chiefs loss to the Baltimore Ravens. A lot of controversy surrounded the incident as a few Chiefs players voiced their indignation that fans would cheer Cassel's injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
Cassel is ranked towards the bottom of the fantasy quarterback rankings. He's thrown at least one interception in each game (nine in total) and ranks 32nd in passer rating (66.2). The Chiefs are 1-4 and will travel to Tampa in Week 6. If Cassel does not play, backup QB Brady Quinn
will get the start. Excluding Jamaal Charles
and Dwayne Bowe
, finding fantasy production on this team isn't easy. Don't bother adding Quinn unless he really comes out of nowhere to produce big numbers.
