UPDATE: Chiefs QB Matt Cassel out, Brady Quinn to start

It's official. The Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out quarterback Matt Cassel for Week 6 and in his place, former Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn @BQ9 will start. Cassel was concussed in Week 5. Quinn has not started a game since he was a member of the Cleveland Browns back in 2009. Coincidentally, that game was a 41-34 win against Cassel and the Chiefs. Kansas City travels to Tampa Bay to play the Bucs on Sunday.

Fantasy Analysis:

Quinn is anything but a reliable fantasy option and this is saying something because the Bucs have allowed 345.3 passing yards per game, most in the NFL. Quinn's presence downgrades WR Dwayne Bowe @DwayneBowe82. In theory, RB Jamaal Charles @jcharles25 should see more work but if the Chiefs struggle to score points or find themselves down early, that means Quinn will have to throw more. Even though Cassel wasn't having a great year, it should tell us something that Quinn never really challenged him for the starting job. One good game could change all that though, as unlikely as it may be.
