Yes, Jets HC Rex Ryan still has confidence in RB Shonn Greene

Simply, the Jets offense is not good. It ranks among the bottom five in total offense, and running back Shonn Greene isn't really helping. He is average 2.9 yards per carry and is of no help in the passing game. He has rushed for just 123 yards in the past four games. Backup Bilal Powell has been better than Greene this year, but head coach Rex Ryan isn't ready to bail on his starter.
"Have I lost confidence in Shonn Greene? The answer is no," Ryan said Thursday. "I think we keep giving him the ball. I just thinks it's a matter of time before he really starts popping. We all know once he gets rolling ... the whole team is lifted when your big back is running."
Fantasy Analysis:
This is just too much. I read that quote, and I laugh. But then I feel bad, because I realize how delusional Ryan is about his offense. He just can't help himself. Greene hasn't "popped" since 2009. Now he just looks like a bust. He has a good matchup this week against the Colts, but Greene can't be trusted as anything more than a flex.
