No update on Lions RB Jahvid Best on Friday

We are closing in on a full year since Lions running back Jahvid Best has played in an NFL game. He is the example why there is no such thing as a "mild" concussion. But Best has been making progress. He took concussion tests on Monday, the results of which were expected to be known by Friday. If Best passed the tests, it's very possible that he would be activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list after this week and have a chance of playing in Week 7.
So, did Best pass those tests? We don't know, because Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said he had no updates on Best on Friday.

Fantasy Analysis:

It doesn't matter too much right now, because Best won't be back until next week at the earliest. Hopefully we learn something by then, but the Lions have always kept injury news close to the vest. Best might have fantasy value in a few weeks and is worth a pickup if you can afford him eating up a roster spot while he does nothing. For Week 6, Mikel Leshoure is an average RB2 versus the Eagles.
