Redskins WR Pierre Garcon probably has turf toe

When Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon
injured his foot back in Week 1, head coach Mike Shanahan explained it this way: "It's kind of like when you have turf toe, but it's not the toe."
Now we're heading into Week 7 of the season. Garcon has missed some games and his foot continues to bother him. And it sure sounds like he has turf toe.
Shanahan said Monday that Garcon has a toe that is "quite sore," and a recent MRI of the toe showed inflammation. Garcon didn't play against the Vikings on Sunday. He has played in just two games and has caught just four passes since suffering the injury during first half of the season-opening game.
Fantasy Analysis:
This would jibe with recent reports that Garcon is still having trouble pushing off with his injured foot. We'll keep an eye on him, but fantasy owners should keep Garcon on their bench until he actually plays and shows that he's worth being put into lineups.
