Although Bills running backs Fred Jackson
and C.J. Spiller
both scored Sunday against the Cardinals, Spiller outshined Jackson to the tune of 110 yards on 16 touches. Jackson gained 83 yards on 21 touches. However, head coach Chan Gailey isn't thinking about giving Spiller more work at the expense of Jackson. Instead, he said in a Monday radio interview that "the issue is how do we get both guys more touches."
Fantasy Analysis:
Sure, Spiller is the more explosive player and should be getting more touches than Jackson, but maybe this is for the best. The timeshare caps the potential of both runners, but it will probably also keep them fresh for the entire season. And as was shown in Week 6, both players are still very worthy RB2 options, even when both are healthy. Definitely don't be shy about starting either Jackson or Spiller or both next week versus the Titans.
