Patriots wide receiver Brandon Lloyd
landed hard on his left shoulder while diving for a pass late in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. Fortunately for him and the Patriots, he suffered only a bruise, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. After missing some plays, Lloyd was able to return to the game for the final couple of snaps.
Fantasy Analysis:
The fact that it is only a bruise and that Lloyd was able to return to the field is good for his chances of playing in Week 7. Lloyd wll probably be limited in some practices, but he'll most likely be ready to go against the Jets. Lloyd will see quite a bit of Antonio Cromartie and while he hasn't been outstanding this season -- Lloyd has topped seven fantasy points in three of six games -- he is still a big part of the Patriots' passing game, and you still need to deploy him as a WR2/3, especially with six teams on bye.
