When the X-rays on Kevin Kolb
's ribs came back negative, there was some hope that he could play this Sunday versus the Vikings. But after undergoing an MRI, it's clear that he won't be playing for quite some time. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Kolb "is expected to be out several weeks after he had multiple ribs detach from his sternum as well as suffering a sprained sternoclavicular joint in his chest area against the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday."
Update: CBS Spots' Jason La Canfora reports that Kolb will miss "6 weeks or more."
Fantasy Analysis:
Suddenly, my ribs are hurting. John Skelton will be back as the starter going forward, beginning on the road at Minnesota this weekend. It's not a good matchup for him, but I don't know how much that matters; Skelton looked putrid versus Buffalo when forced into action after Kolb got injured. He is no more than a low-end QB2. In any case, you are still starting Larry Fitzgerald
.
