Browns team president Mike Holmgren will retire at end of season

Former head coach of the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks and current Cleveland Browns team president Mike Holmgren will retire at the end of the 2012 season. Owner Jimmy Haslam has already announced that Joe Banner will take over as the team's new CEO/president. Holmgren joined Cleveland in January 2010. As ESPN pointed out, the Browns have the second worst win percentage in the NFL (.263) since Holmgren's arrival.

Fantasy Analysis:

It all starts at the top. Holmgren was responsible for hiring head coach Pat Shurmur and general manager Tom Heckert. Needless to say, it remains to be seen how long their jobs are safe. The Browns need a shake-up and this is a good continuation of that process. The offensive overhaul was a necessary change. Holmgren more or less sealed his fate by selecting quarterback Colt McCoy @ColtMcCoy in the 2010 NFL Draft and placing the franchise's future in his hands. We all see now how that played out and the ushering in of rookie QB Brandon Weeden @bweeden3 ended the McCoy experiment after only two seasons.
