Matt Maiocco tweeted that San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mario Manningham
was limited during Tuesday's practice due to a shoulder injury. According to The Sacramento Bee, he wore black no-contact jersey during drills. San Francisco is playing on a short week with their upcoming Thursday night game against the Seattle Seahawks. Manningham told reporters that Seattle utilizes a lot of press coverage, "I like when teams press me," Manningham said. "I feel like it gives you the advantage."
Fantasy Analysis:
Manningham has largely been a fantasy non-factor. Through six games, he has 24 receptions for 258 yards and a touchdown. Good, but far from great stats. During their most recent loss to the New York Giants, Manningham did see 10 targets, yet only managed to haul in five passes for 72 yards. If the targets keep coming at that rate, Manningham could feasibly become a bench player in most leagues. Luckily for him, it's unlikely that the 49ers will be down multiple scores as they were against the Giants.
