Chiefs QB Matt Cassel given medical clearance to resume non-contact drills

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel finally received good news in the form of medical clearance on Tuesday which allows him to continue non-contact drills. The Chiefs are on a bye in Week 7 but this has caused a small quarterback controversy. Head coach Romeo Crennel said, "What I told them is I'm rotating the quarterbacks. They will get equal reps." Cassel sustained a concussion on over a week ago in a tough loss to the Baltimore Ravens. If Cassel does not play, Brady Quinn @BQ9 will start.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Chiefs have played poorly for the majority of the season and Cassel needs to improve dramatically if he wants to continue being a team leader. When addressing the negative news regarding fans cheering his injury, Cassel took the high road and said, "I'm not really going to speak to what happened last week. All I'll say is, look, I live here year round. I've had nothing but support from the people in Kansas City." While that's all well and good, the former USC Trojan must improve his play or he'll be standing on the sideline.
