Giants RB Andre Brown gets first-team reps

In spite of being consider "out indefinitely" just a week ago, New York Giants running back Andre Brown @drebrown35 received first-team reps during Wednesday's practice. RB David Wilson @4stillRunning figured to have a jump on Brown after the rookie exploded for 89 yards on only nine carries in the last two weeks. With RB Ahmad Bradshaw dealing with that nagging foot injury, Brown currently has the inside track on a featured role.

Fantasy Analysis:

Let's not forget that Brown rushed for 184 yards and three TDs in just two games a weeks ago. If Bradshaw is out against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Brown is a fantasy RB2 with some serious upside. The Skins rank 32nd in pass yards allowed per game so while Brown may not be the focus, a red-hot Eli Manning could only benefit a ground attack. If Brown is available in your league, pick him up immediately.

Bah. Bradshaw will play. He does this all the time - his foot/feet issues are chronic. He'll skip practices and then suit up and do fine. Occasionally he even sports a walking boot during the week. The Giants won't sit him because they've got no one else in the backfield who can pass-protect like he can. Honestly, few RBs in the league can pass-protect the way Bradshaw can.

@ mross Ugh.. Hope youre right. I'm in a pickle having Gore on my bench, going tonight on a short week against a lively D....Knew these days could come drafting Ahmad, but he's now the feature back in a superb offense..gotta roll with him.

Don't even sweat it. Bradshaw has played with far worse. He's a tough dude.

Looking more and more likely Bradshaw will sit. I like Brown to start and get decent numbers.
