Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson
did not practice Thursday for the second consecutive day. The sixth-year stud is still resting an ankle injury he sustained Week 5 during Minnesota's win over the Tennessee Titans. At the time, Peterson said he had to play through the pain and since then, he's been able to do just that. The team alluded to his time off as merely precautionary, especially since the Vikes have a Thursday night game in Week 8.
Fantasy Analysis:
Peterson isn't quite his old self, but he isn't far off. If you follow my work closely, and let's just assume that you don't, you'd know that I have been a strong proponent of AP for months now. I was very high on him in the offseason and suggested to anyone who would listen that he would be ready to play Week 1 and he'd play well. So far, he's done it and he'll continue to play through this small injuries. Unfortunately for him, Minnesota has a brutal schedule upcoming with games against above-average run defenses across the board. I would suggest you trade AP because the easy part of Minnesota's schedule has already come and gone.
