49ers RB Frank Gore has bruised ribs, X-rays negative

A grueling 13-6 win over the Seattle Seahawks has left San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore dealing with bruised ribs. X-rays were taken after the game and came back negative. "I kind of got speared, hit in the back on a check down back in the second quarter," Gore said. "It was a good hit, good play by Seattle." Gore sat out the final eight minutes of the game because of his sore ribs. He said he was injured in the second quarter after a catching a pass.

Fantasy Analysis:

Gore managed to have a good game, rushing for 131 yards on just 16 carries. A key 37-yard run late in the second half could've gone for a touchdown, but he was tripped up inside Seattle's 10-yard line. Add another five receptions for 51 yards and obviously, Gore had a very productive day in fantasy as well. He's eclipsed 100 rushing yards three times and scored a touchdown in four games. He's not one of fantasy's elite, but the eighth-year back remains a consistent low-end RB1 and should stay that way as long as he is healthy.
