Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon
has been listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants. Garcon didn't practice at all this week and hasn't done much on the field since Week 1.
Fantasy Analysis:
It's no surprise and probably more optimistic than what is reality. Nobody seems to have a firm idea as to when Garcon will play again. While he hasn't been ruled out for Sunday, he's not going to play. Head coach Mike Shanahan threw out that Garcon could be back within days or weeks. Again, nobody knows. It's a terribly frustrating situation, but I would still hang on to Garcon because Shanahan is still committed to him as the team's No. 1 WR when healthy. Plus, you can't trade him right now; what are you going to get for him?
None of the other wide receivers on this team are a quality start even in bye-heavy Week 7. Among Santana Moss
, Leonard Hankerson
and Josh Morgan, only Moss has topped seven fantasy points in any game since Week 2, and that was only because Moss caught a long touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins on a completely blown coverage. The Giants have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends, so Fred Davis
is a risky play, too. It should be the Griffin-Morris show for the Redskins against the reigning champs.
