Saints 'feel good' about TE Jimmy Graham's chances to play in Week 8
Saints tight end Jimmy Graham was unable to play yesterday because of his sprained ankle, but the early word about his Week 8 status is encouraging. Interim head coach Joe Vitt, whose six-game suspension ended at the conclusion of Sunday's win, said Monday that the team will test out Graham's ankle during Wednesday's practice and that "Right now, we feel good about it."
David Thomas caught two passes for 27 yards and a touchdown in place of Graham, and the Saints' passing offense certainly didn't miss him all that much against the Bucs. Still, it appears that he'll be ready to get back on the field against the Broncos. And if he's on the field, he is in your lineup. We should have more on this story in a couple of days. Graham has topped 70 receiving yards and has scored in three of five games played this season.
