Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said Monday that quarterback Brady Quinn 
will be his starter Sunday against the Raiders, citing that he "needed to impact the team by changing the dynamic." Quinn filled in for a concussed Matt Cassel in Week 6 against the Buccaneers and completed 22 of 38 passes for 180 yards and two interceptions.
"Probably the most impactful move I could make to get everybody's attention was to change the quarterback," Crennel said. "... I want [Quinn] to be the starting quarterback without having to look over his shoulder. There's going to be no quick hook or anything like that."
Fantasy Analysis:
No doubt, Cassel has been awful this year with a 66.2 quarterback rating in five games. But the move to get a 1-5 team on the right track is to bench him for a guy with a career 5.4 yards per attempt average and more interceptions than touchdowns? I guess. It's not good news for Dwayne Bowe , the only Chiefs receiver worth caring about. He caught three passes for just 25 yards in Quinn's one start this year. And you know that Quinn isn't going to be able to get the ball to him down the field at all. Defenses opposing the Chiefs should be popular free-agent adds going forward.
