Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert has 'good chance' to play in Week 8
Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert couldn't play past the first half of Sunday's loss to the Raiders due an injury to his left, non-throwing shoulder. He still has to undergo some tests, but head coach Mike Mularkey said Monday that Gabbert "has a good chance to play" Sunday against the Packers. Chad Henne replaced Gabbert and completed just 9 of 20 passes for 71 yards.
Not that you really want to be involved with any part of the Jaguars' passing game, but Gabbert certainly looked better than Henne on Sunday. However, in Henne's defense, he probably didn't get many reps with the first-team offense leading up to the game. It has been reported that Gabbert didn't suffer any broken bones and has probbaly avoided serious injury, but the results of an MRI are yet to be known. He remains a very low QB2.
