Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert
's MRI revealed a torn labrum in his non-throwing (left) shoulder. He will seek out a second opinion Tuesday and after that, the team will further evaluate his playing status in Week 8. Gabbert left Sunday's loss against the Oakland Raiders in the second quarter. Backup QB Chad Henne only completed nine passes for 71 yards to finish the game.
Fantasy Analysis:
As noted in a previous item regarding Jacksonville, the Jags have the worst scoring offense in the NFL and it certainly will make matters worse to be without Gabbert and Maurice Jones-Drew
has already been ruled out. Henne has been an underachiever throughout his career and really has no business being on anyone's fantasy roster. Jacksonville has no viable fantasy options, excluding MJD. For now, I can only recommend adding Rashad Jennings and his value is obviously very short term.
