A trio of Pittsburgh Steelers' running backs did not practice on Wednesday. Rashard Mendenhall
(Achilles) and Isaac Redman
(ankle) were both held out due to injury while Jonathan Dwyer
was excused for non-specific personal reasons. Dwyer was Pittsburgh's featured back in Week 7, rushing for 122 yards on 17 carries. Both Mendenhall and Redman have not played since Oct. 11, but head coach Mike Tomlin feels both players "have a chance to play" on Sunday against the Washington Redskins.
Fantasy Analysis:
For now, Dwyer has the best shot to be starting for the Steelers against an inept Redskins' defense. Washington has been solid against the run (seventh in the NFL) and awful against the pass (32nd). Since Redskins LB London Fletcher
might be unable to play this week, his absence would only benefit Pittsburgh's rushing attack. Mendenhall and Redman are both expected to practice in some capacity this week so this situation will be something to monitor throughout the week.
