Lions WR Calvin Johnson 'would have sat' if Detroit practiced on Wednesday

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson @Bigplaycj "would have sat with a sore knee" if the Lions had practiced today, according to Detroit Free Press' beat writer Dave Birkett. Johnson also played through a concussion earlier in the month. The former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket was limited to only three catches for 34 yards during Detroit's Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears. Megatron has only scored one touchdown this season and it came back in Week 3.

Fantasy Analysis:

Even though he remains a must-start candidate every week, Johnson is having a tough season, especially compared to his huge 2011 season. Detroit has a 2-4 record and their two victories were very close with a combined winning margin of only seven points. Johnson scored a TD in 11 regular season games last year, 16 in total. He'd have to go on an unprecedented tear to match those numbers, but if there's any player talented enough to do that, it's him.
