This week, much like last week, Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez
was limited in practice on Wednesday before being held out on Thursday. But the one big difference for Hernandez last week compared to this week is that he actually played last week. That won't be the case Sunday as Hernandez didn't join the team on its flight to London. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hernandez's ankle that he sprained in Week 2 "has not responded to treatment." The Patriots have their bye in Week 9, so Hernandez won't be on the field again until Nov. 11 at the earliest.
Fantasy Analysis:
We are so used to the Patriots playing games with the practice reports, it's so hard to tell when something serious is going on. This is an expected loss for Hernandez's fantasy owners, but the good news is that he should be fully healed by Week 10. With him inactive against the Rams, Rob Gronkowski
's and Wes Welker
's game-day value gets a bump up.
