Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill
was forced out of action on Sunday after being sacked during the first quarter. Backup QB Matt Moore stepped in and finished the game against the New York Jets, leading Miami to its third straight win. The early diagnosis for Tannehill is a hyperextended left knee and deep thigh bruise. His MRI results have not yet been announced. "I don't know much, but it was a good conversation on the plane," head coach Joe Philbin told reporters. "It's too early to predict what's going to happen." Philbin added he did not consider putting Tannehill back into the game after his injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
Moore played rather well, all things considered. He completed 11 of his 19 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Not bad for a guy who only sees about 10-percent of the snaps during a normal week of practice accordng to Philbin. Moore has shown flashes in his career, whether it was with the Carolina Panthers or during his 2011 season with the Dolphins. Moore is a low-end QB2 in my book and unless I'm in desperate need of a replacement, he can stay on the waiver wire. More information regarding Tannehill's status will come out througout the week. For now though, it looks like he may need a week off.
