The Kansas City Chiefs have already ruled out quarterback Brady Quinn
for Week 9, which will allow QB Matt Cassel to start. Quinn did not practice Monday and will miss this upcoming Thursday night game because of a concussion. Quinn has played very poorly in limited action, throwing three interceptions in only 44 attempts. Cassel has thrown 10 interceptions out of 206 attempts, so neither player is getting the job done. The Chiefs will play the San Diego Chargers in Week 9.
Fantasy Analysis:
The last time Cassel played the Chargers was back in Week 4. He passed for 251 yards, two TDs, and three INTs in a 37-20 loss. San Diego jumped out to a 20-0 lead midway through the second quarter, forcing the Chiefs to move away from what had been a solid rushing effort by Jamaal Charles
up to that point. Look for Cassel to another underwhelming performance. He's only had one game this season where he's thrown more TDs than INTs. Starting him is not worth the risk.
