Despite recent struggles, Packers RB Alex Green remains starter

After the past two games, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has said that the team's running game "needs to improve" and is "not good enough." Those words are basically challenges toward Alex Green @AGreen_20, who has taken on 42 of the 52 total carries in those games. No matter what has been said, McCarthy still wants Green to be his lead back going foward, acccording to Packers beat writer Tom Silverstein.

Fantasy Analysis:

Silverstein cites Green's breakaway speed as the reason why he will remain the starter. James Starks @James44Starks is also available, but he saw just one carry in Week 8. The Packers are unlikely to trade for a running back prior to Thursday's deadline, so Green will keep getting a lot of touches, and he is a low-end RB2 this week against the Cardinals. But a couple more repeats of his recent performances may force McCarthy to install more of a committee attack.

Why is Starks treated like a leper? He had so much promise now cant even get a sniff of the ball. I want to pick him up as possible starter

Because James Starks has bones made of balsa wood and he can't stay healthy (dating back to his college days at Buffalo). His injuries probably have him a little tepid when hearing footsteps, knowing a bit hit might come. That's just my guess; they want someone in there more durable who they can count on, but I'm not a Green Bay insider or anything; just a guess.
