Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy recently told reporters that wide receiver Jordy Nelson
was "real close" to starting last week, but that didn't stop Nelson from missing practice on Wednesday. The fifth-year receiver is still recovering from a hamstring injury that cropped up last week. At best, Nelson will likely be a game-time decision heading into Week 9's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
Fantasy Analysis:
If Nelson doesn't play this week, it's a big boost to James Jones and Randall Cobb
. The Packers couldn't really get much offense going, or at least up to their standards, against Jacksonville last week before scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter. Jones caught seven passes for 78 yards and Cobb added five catches for 28 yards and a score. Nelson isn't living up to the high watermark he set last season when he caught 68 passes for 1,263 yards and 15 TDs. Most assumed he wouldn't repeat his touchdown total, but he's falling well short of his yardage total as well.
