The Dallas Cowboys might be without running back DeMarco Murray
in Week 9 as he continues to rest his injured foot after missing Wednesday's practice. In his place, the Cowboys have relied heavily on Felix Jones
although he struggled mightily last week by only rushing for 19 yards and a score on 13 carries. Backup back Phillip Tanner
was expected to see a fair share of the workload, but he only had three touches against the Giants.
Fantasy Analysis:
Dallas' slim playoff chances can only improve if Murray gets healthy. Jones isn't and has never been the answer. A loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9 would put them in a deep hole although they still have four divisional games left on the schedule. Atlanta is ranked 26th against the run, allowing 136.4 rushing yards per game so don't automatically dismiss Jones as a decent flex option. Although if the Falcons jump out to an early lead which they've done many times already this season, Dallas may abandon their run game, leaving Jones owners high and dry.
