Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin
has been downgraded because of a hamstring injury. After being a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, he did not practice Thurday. Earlier reports suggested that Harvin was only being some additional rest coming off of a short week. In his last four contests, Harvin caught 29 passes for 368 yards and four total scores (three receiving, one rushing).
Fantasy Analysis:
In PPR formats, Harvin has been exceptional. This injury will ripple throughout all formats though as Harvin has been a Top 3 WR thus far. He leads the league with 60 receptions and the former Florida Gator is fifth in receiving yards (667). If a team's leading receiver goes down, it positively impacts the No. 2 WR, but since Harvin is more of a scat-back that turns short passes into longer gains, look for TE Kyle Rudolph
to see more targets next week as opposed to Jerome Simpson
. For now though, Harvin is still listed as questionable and will presumably be a game-time decision.
