Lions wide reciever Calvin Johnson
didn't practice at all this week due to a knee injury, but that's of no concern to head coach Jim Schwartz who said Johnson has missed full weeks of practice before and has still played.
"[H]is health is a more important thing," Schwartz said.
Johnson has been bothered by a knee problem lately, and he admitted it affected his ability to plant and cut last week against the Seahawks. But he'll continue to tough it out, and he'll play in Week 9 versus the Jaguars.
Fantasy Analysis:
I so want to drop a "We ain't talking about the game. We talking about practice." Except to see Johnson miss a lot of practice time for as long as his knee is bugging him, but he will most likely suit up every week. We know he's not the No. 1 WR in fantasy right now, but you should still start Calvin without question, especially against a Jacksonville pass defense which could be without its top two corners this Sunday. If anything, I think you should buy low on him. And if you want to sell him, you should still aim high; you'll find plenty of people who believe he will turn it around.
