We've heard this story before. Actually, we heard it last week. Packers wide receiver didn't practice Friday and will be a game-time decision Sunday against the Cardinals. Nelson is still being held back by a hamstring injury which forced him to miss the entire week of practice. The injury popped up last Wednesday, and Nelson hasn't been able to practice or play since. FOX Sports' Jay Glazer tweeted Friday that Nelson is in "much better shape than he was" last week, but he's "still iffy" to play.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Packers won with general ease last week against the Jaguars without Nelson, and they should be able to do the same against the lowly Cardinals. Plus, with the Packers going on bye in Week 10, I don't think head coach Mike McCarthy will risk Nelson suffering a setback right before getting some much-needed time off. But we probably won't know for sure until about 90 minutes prior to kickoff Sunday morning. Donald Driver
will continue to see more playing time if Nelson is out. James Jones and Randall Cobb
are the two Packers WRs to start, but from the looks of last week's game in which Aaron Rodgers was forced to keep everything short, it might help those guys if Nelson is active and able to divert some defensive attention.
