Packers mum on WR Jordy Nelson's ankle injury
Packers WR Jordy Nelson was suprisingly active for Sunday's game versus the Cardinals, despite the fact that he had been battling a hamstring injury for about 10 days and the Packers were set to go on bye in Week 10. The risk didn't pay off as Nelson injured his right ankle in the first quarter and didn't return. He didn't record a catch in his limited action. Head coach Mike McCarthy didn't provide an update on Nelson during his Monday press conference.
The only good news here is, again, the Packers are entering their bye week, which allows Nelson a couple of weeks to heal. There has been no indication that Nelson suffered something more than a regular ankle sprain, not a high ankle sprain. Nelson is reportedly over his hamstring problems, so he'll have two weeks to get over this latest setback.
