Giants WR Hakeem Nicks' knee swelling has gone down

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has reasserted that he plan on playing on Sunday after confirming that the swelling in his knee has decreased. New York Post writer Paul Schwartz tweeted that his swelling is "gone" so there are slightly conflicting bits of information out there. Either way, Nicks is determined to play in Week 10 having already missed multiple games this season.

Fantasy Analysis:

Nicks may not be 100 percent, but he's worth a shot for most fantasy owners as a flex. When at his best, the former University of North Carolina star is capable of putting up huge numbers. Look no further than his game earlier in the season against Tampa Bay when he caught 10 of 15 targets for 199 yards and a score. It's a risky proposition to start him after only catching one pass for 10 yards last week, but the four-year vet is capable of much more if he can play close to full speed.

I think Eli wants to go into the bye with the offense clicking like it was to start the season...so that means Hicks will get more chances against a mediocre Bengals secondary...Floyd still has the Norv and Rivers circus going on, and they should be looking to run a bit more...I've played the Hicks/Floyd/A. Brown carousel to no availl this season..Nicks is waaay overdue! Playing an Rb is my fav flex choice too..but Felix Jones? Naaaah...buddy just fumbles too often...
