Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson
suggested a stinger suffered back in Week 4 may be causing lingering nerve damage which has led to drops and inconsistently. Johnson expanded on the situation, "Actually I had some nerve damage that was kind of messing up my grip a little. Not to blame that, but I think the concussion could have had something to do with some of that damage." Also, WR Titus Young
did not practice on Thursday for the second straight day.
Fantasy Analysis:
Either receiver plays, they should probably be in your starting lineups. Young is a bit iffy after falling off a cliff with only two receptions for 20 yards last week. That said, this is a very favorable matchup with Minnesota's defense underperforming as of late. Even though Megatron hasn't lived up to the high standards he created last season, he remains a reliable WR1 across all fantasy formats. Young will bounce back sooner rather than later because keep in mind, Detroit was finally able to get their running game going against a very bad Jaguars' run defense. The Vikings' strength is in their run defense so there should be much more passing in Week 10.
