Eagles 'probably' won't fire HC Andy Reid until season is over

A source close to the Philadelphia Eagles told Yahoo! Sports that head coach Andy Reid will keep his job through Week 11. It is expected however that as soon as Philly is officially eliminated from playoff contention, Reid's job could end at any time. The source also added that Reid will "probably" be fired after the season is over and the tentative plan is to overhaul the entire coaching staff. General manager Howie Roseman is likely to be retained.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Eagles' ineffective offensive line has been their Achilles' heel all season long. OLs Demetress Bell, Danny Watkins, Dallas Reynolds, and Dennis Kelly have all struggled in pass blocking according to Pro Football Focus' analysis. Their run-blocking has not been much better either. To the Eagles credit, all of these players are still pretty young and may just need more time. If they can continue to improve as a unit, anything is possible in the future. In the here and now though, injuries to OLs Jason Peters, Jason Kelce, and the aforementioned Watkins has only made matters worse. Reid was given plenty of time to guide this team and he will land on his feet somewhere else, whether it is as a head coach or offensive coordinator.

Rediculous. What more could you want from a coach than what Andy Reid has provided Philadelphia? This will rank as high on the list of dumb football firings as Tampa/Dungy (no superbowl) and Ole Miss/Cutcliffe after Eli didn't win a nat'l championship.
