The Chicago Bears are expected to re-sign free agent quarterback Josh McCown if regular starter Jay Cutler cannot play in Week 11 because of the concussion he suffered on Sunday. The only other QB on the Bears' roster is Jason Campbell and he would be the presumptive starter, with McCown coming in as an emergency reserve. Cutler has not yet been ruled out after missing the second half of Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Analysis:
McCown was previously with the Bears in 2011 and started two games. McCown bounced around the league during his 10 years. With stints in Carolina, Oakland, Detroit, and Arizona, the ten-year vet hopefully will not need to see the field with Campbell ahead of him on the depth chart. The Bears are 7-2 right now, but Green Bay (6-3) and Minnesota (6-4) are right on their heels. Every win and every loss are critical at this stage of the season so losing Cutler for even just one game can hopefully be avoided. Fantasy owners should avoid Campbell if he is pressed into action.
