Sources: Eagles QB Michael Vick might be benched for rest of season

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles @NFoles8 is already expected to start this Sunday in place of Michael Vick @MikeVick, who is dealing with a concussion. But could he be in the starting role for the rest of the season? A couple of sources have told Yahoo.com's Jason Cole that it's a "pretty strong bet" that Vick will be "rested" by head coach Andy Reid for the remainder of the year.
"I'm 99 percent sure that's exactly what you're going to see happen," a source said Monday. "Andy is going to go to (owner) Jeff (Lurie) and (general manager) Howie (Roseman) and say, 'Let's go with Foles and make the transition to the next era.' "

Fantasy Analysis:

Vick is said to have a "significant" concussion, whatever that means. He has not been officially ruled out, but that's a foregone conclusion. Foles had OK numbers against the Cowboys -- 22-for-32, 219 yards, one touchdown, one fumble lost and one interception. But the score came off a blown coverage, and many of those yards came during garbage time. Plus, the Cowboys returned both of Foles' turnovers for touchdowns, and he could have thrown at least two more interceptions if it weren't for drops. He is a mid-range QB2 this weekend, even against the Redskins' awful secondary. It's fair to downgrade DeSean Jackson @DeseanJackson10 and Jeremy Maclin @jmac_18, who is dealing with a back strain.
