ESPN's John Clayton said Tuesday that Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is seen as doubtful to play Monday night against the 49ers. Cutler suffered a concussion during Sunday night's loss to the Texans, and he has reportedly suffered nearly half a dozen concussions dating back to his college days at Vanderbilt.
Fantasy Analysis:
Given his history, fantasy teams shouldn't be depending upon Cutler this week. If that number is correct or close to correct, the Bears need to exercise extreme caution with him. Backup QB Jason Campbell is going to have quite a tough task ahead of him against the Niners. Campbell was brutal against Houston, but I'm not too worried about Brandon Marshall
because I feel like Chicago's coaches will find ways to get their best playmaker the ball no matter what. But I am worried about San Fran stacking the box, shutting down Matt Forte
and forcing Campbell to beat them. Not to say you should bench Forte, definitely don't do that. Just lower expectations.
